These are my appointments/obligations this week. Having not yet mastered the power of being two places at once there are obviously some appointments/obligations I will be unable to meet. I have no idea why I do this to myself.

I am really good at letting other people off the hook and allowing them to not be in two places at once. But extending the courtesy to myself this week is killing me. I am missing DSI’s cross-country meet and that in particular is hurtful. I’m missing it because I said ‘yes’ to adults who won’t mean a thing to me once my term in town office is over. It was a sacrifice I signed up for. Signed up my family, too.

So I will take away from this the willingness to again be as kind to me as I am to other people and to be careful what I wish for. Although I kind of wish I could just make everyone’s calendars and then we’d all have time for everything. That’s an okay wish. I’ll let you know how that turns out.
